Sounds good to me.  It makes those files, at least, independent of what
version of autoconf is installed on the machine on which the
distribution is built.  tcpdump and libpcap keep them in CVS, and
they've been periodically updated from the versions in "gnu/config" on
the GNU FTP site or various mirrors thereof.

I've just moved "config.guess,v" out of "Attic"; I'll try to grab the
latest versions of those files and check them both in.
