I agree.  The default ought to be settable in the prefs, but it
would be nice to be able to change to a different decode 'on
the fly' from, say, a popup.  It would be doubly good if that
pop-up could set the decode preferences on individual packets,
and the preference choice was retained with the packet for the
lifetime of the decode session.

Something like a 'single packet preference override' would be 
useful.  It could work exactly the same as the current prefs,
but instead of referencing the global set, it would use a
set that was associated just with that packet.  

Thoughts?
