Forward lookups are NAME QUERY REQUEST messages - section 4.2.12 of RFC
1002 - and those have a QUESTION NAME field which is a string.

I'm not sure how you can send a reverse lookup in a NAME QUERY REQUEST
packet.  For DNS, the difference is whether the type field of the RR in
the query is A or PTR; in the NetBIOS Name Service protocol, the only
types are NB and NBSTAT.  They could've also supported PTR, or added
something like PTR, but didn't.
