A couple of years ago I did some research into RealAudio and
from that I seem to remember that it also uses the RTP/RTCP
protocols, which are already in Ethereal. Via these protocols
which run on top of UDP, the media is sent. The only problem
is then how to decode the RealAudio control traffic in
which you have to find the ports RTP/RTCP are going to use.
The difficult part is the "decoding" of the traffic to the
TCP port. The UDP traffic is easypeasy, because it's already
there.
The real audio site used to have also a full SDK which could
be downloaded for free, but I'm not sure if that's still the
case and under what conditions.
