Did you install gtk from a distribution package or from source? If from a distribution package, there might be a package called gtk-dev (vs. gtk), which will contain the header files you need. Be sure to install both gtk-dev and glib-dev If from source, where were your header files installed? Where is gtk/gtk.h on your system? gcc was not able to find it when compiling conftest. --gilbert "Super-User" <macinen@xxxxxxxxxx> on 09/14/2000 03:24:07 PM Please respond to macinen@xxxxxxxxxx To: ethereal-dev@xxxxxxxx cc: (bcc: Gilbert Ramirez/Tivoli Systems) Subject: [ethereal-dev] Sorry for the repost Sorry for this repost, but I was not getting any email from ethereal-dev, and was not sure if anyone answered this qustion. Please bear with me. Thanks, Mark Please Help, I am trying to compile ethereal on Solaris 8 x86. I have all the latest required packages installed.
