Yes, I figured that they would be setld format files, which dates back to
Ultrix, by the way.
Actually, I think I have already said so in the latest version of the
User's Guide at http://www.ns.aus.com/ethereal/user-guide/book1.html.

I think they tried to get third parties to use setld, but none do these
days, and use tar or whatever and shell scripts.
