Dear all,
the problem was that FreeBSD has the GTK stuff in /usr/X11R6/share/ installed, especially gtk.m4 is in /usr/X11R6/share/aclocal/gtk.m4. So it is not found in
/usr/local/share/aclocal/!
A link solved the problem.
Hope this helps also other people having the same problem.
