If you select the source IP address field in the protocol tree window,
is the corresponding data in the hex dump window 4 bytes of 0?

If so, then Ethereal was probably handed a frame with a source IP
address of 0.0.0.0; whether this is a problem with the W98 networking
stack or the WinPcap driver for W98 is another matter (although I
suspect it may be a problem with the W98 networking stack).

You might want to ask the folks at the Politecnico di Torino about this.
