Is there a 'best practice" for handling reserved fields or unused fields in 
general
in a dissection?

I am fairly sure that I have seen reserved fields dissected out and the 
actual value
displayed as with any other field.

Is this what is required?  Left to myself I would check the reserved value 
against
any 'policed' requirement (say that the value is always 0) and not display 
it, if it
were OK. In an ideal world it could be displayed and highlighted if an 
invalid value
were actually read.
