Hi Gang,

I just upgraded my box so that it uses UCD-SNMP 0.4.1. This causes
Ethereal to break. I just tried compiling ethereal-0.8.4 to see
if this would help but I got this message instead:

/home/sshah/ethereal-0.8.4/packet-snmp.c:1158: undefined reference to `snmp_set_full_objid'

I'm unfortunately short on time and cannot look into it much further. If
there is something specific someone would like me to try, I'd be more than
happy to do so.

Here is the additional info you ask for in the README...

1. uname -a
   Linux orb 2.2.5-15 #1 Mon Apr 19 23:00:46 EDT 1999 i686 unknown

2. gtk-config --version
   1.2.5

3. Ethereal version
   0.8.4

4. Still trying to compile with SNMP support. =)

Note that previous versions of ethereal have worked great on this
box. Things specifically broke with the SNMP upgrade. Thanks for
your time...

-Steve
