No, not hard. That's why wiretap has it's own autoconf stuff, unlike
the gtk directory which has just automake stuff.  Right now only
an archive library is produced, in the future a shared library might
be more convenient. Or, since we now have editcap and tethereal, perhaps
now is a good time for a shared library.
