You could have the display options menu item function the same as
clicking on the "Filter" button - bring up the preferences dialog with
that tab already selected. That would yield both benefits - having all
configuration centralized into the preferences window, and also having
easy access to display options.

Actually, I'd much rather have it be explicit (i.e. via a button that
says "use current position and size". It irks me when netscape picks a
new default size for windows just because I stretched out a window to
full screen for a particular web page/site.
At the least, I was thinking that most of what you can set on the
command line should be settable with preferences.
