I've noticed that with gtk-1.2.x, when using the cursor keys, an intermediate
selection bar, that is, an unfilled rectangle, is moved up and down. It lets
you peruse the rows, but it doesn't actually select the row. Once you press
the spacebar (and perhaps ENTER?), that row is selected. At that point,
the tree and hex dump should change.
With gtk-1.0.x, the cursor keys didn't work at all.
Is this the behavior that you're seeing?
