No. That's why I think the modulo value is saved in the capture file.
I will verify if my sniffer also asks for this configuration (I can't
check now, I'll have to wait until after my hollidays...)

Yes, but there's nothing X.25 specific in it (I had to guess where the
"From DCE/From DTE" information was stored).
