I have Linux 2.0.x on Intel and SPARC, Solaris 2.[56] SPARC and AIX
4.1.4. I make sure it runs on Linux/Intel and Solaris before each
release. There are still problems with AIX, but I make sure it compiles
cleanly there before each release as well. We might lose the AIX boxes in
the next month or two, however.

Speaking of validation, how difficult would it be to generate a set of
torture-test packet dumps, which purposefully contained bad data, so that
we could make sure error detection and handling works correctly?
